Chris Dean Carr (born March 12 1974 in Ironton, Missouri) is an American professional Basketball player who was selected by the Phoenix Suns in the 2nd round (56th overall) of the 1995 NBA Draft. Carr played six seasons in the NBA for the Suns, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Jersey Nets, Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics. His best year as a pro came during the 1997-98 season as a member of the Timberwolves, appearing in 51 games and averaging 9.9 ppg. Carr also appeared in the 1997 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Carr played collegiately at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He also played in Greece with AEK Athens BC and in Serbia with KK Lavovi 063.

Chris Carr currently owns and operates 43 Hoops Basketball Academy( 43 Hoops basketball Academy exists to help middle and high school age men and women achieve their true potential in life through athletics. 43 Hoops provides basketball, volleyball, soccer and life skills training to help adolescents improve themselves through sport, discipline, dedication and teamwork.

Within this organization Chris as started 43 Hoops Foundation which is a 501 (c)(3) organization designed to provide financial support to athletes whose families cannot afford for them to receive academic tutoring, participate in a 43 Hoops basketball camp, participate on a 43 Hoops sponsored AAU basketball team, receive personal training or mentoring. The 43 Hoops Foundation solicits tax deductible corporate and individual gifts to provide opportunities for these underprivileged children.
