Kevin Garnett Adidas TS Commander is a special edition shoe made that will be sold in the
Celtics online store starting on
Celtics opening night -- October 28, 2008. Only 17 pairs of shoes will be sold; the number of pairs of shoes sold is the same as the number of Celtics titles. All proceeds from shoe sales will go to the
Celtic Shamrocks Fund, a charity which runs a variety of initiatives for Boston area children.
The shoe commemorates Garnett's first championship and the insole is lined with scores, dates and logos from the NBA 2008 Finals. The heel sports a Celtics logo and the word "Champ" is printed on the inner ankle. Kevin Garnett's silhouette can be found on the ankle area. The shoe is also autographed by Garnett.
